PERFORMANCE The Austlab range of fittings is specially made by Armitage Shanks, Marklab to comply with Australian Standards and to meet the varied needs in modern laboratories. Every fitting is designed with efficiency, good looks and long life firmly in mind. The range is extensive and covers water fittings, diaphragm valves, needle valves, gas cocks, remote control fittings, steam fittings, outlet nozzles and accessories. We constantly monitor performance and ensure that design developments are introduced in accordance with the needs of the specifier. All Austlab fittings have a proven record of reliability throughout Australia and abroad. Finish Automatic electro-static spraying of the epoxy finish ensures a most attractive appearance with a very even coating. This finish is extremely hard and gives maximum protection from impact damage. It is resistant to a wide range of acids or alkali. Coding Each service is identified in writing on the hand wheels which are also colour coded in accordance with DIN 12920. Flexibility All swanneck outlets are normally supplied to swivel, however they can be easily converted to a locked situation. Relevant conversion parts and instructions are included with each consignment. All the water fitting outlets are screwed 1/2" BSP for attachment with jet pump or metering valves as standard, however if integral serrated outlets are require, these are available. The most versatile fitting, the single swanneck outlet water standard can be left or right hand control, locked or swivel swanneck, has a screwed outlet for detachment of a jet pump or metering valve and can be bench or wall mounted or suspended. Installation Fittings are listed in the full catalogue and must be installed in accordance with relevant by-laws. MODELS Spring-loaded gas cock The design of the new spring-loaded gas cock caters for the most stringent safety requirements. The handwheel is designed so that its position immediately indicates if in the 'on' or 'off' position, whilst spring resistance prevents accidental 'turn on'. The plug is not exposed to atmospheric conditions which dry out the grease and there is no nut to come loose, so vandalism is deterred and maintenance is drastically reduced. The new artic white finish further complements what is, with all its obvious advantages, a functional fitting with pleasing aesthetics to modern standards. Preferred Range To simplify stocking and speed availability, we have selected a preferred range of Austlab fittings. This range is made in batch quantities to a planned production schedule. The resulting economies in production are then passed on to the customer as can be seen in our price list, and a quicker delivery period is achieved. The fittings in our preferred range are indicated in the full Austlab catalogue. The other fittings are available to order. As with all Austlab fittings the preferred range complies with the Australian Standard and holds a Watermark. A full Austlab catalogue of the complete range is available on request. |
